This all started out as a way to give the people of New York City some love in a beautiful container, all made from materials provided by the city itself. The Metrocard has been the staple of NYC transit since 1993 and huge part of my life since as long as I could remember. The metrocard became my pass to a world of art and culture I wouldn’t have been able to find without it. With this project, I am now able to pay those experience forward with uniquely folded Cubes made out of recycled NYC Metrocards accompanied by a brief message of motivation & love.

    • Material: Metrocards are made from PVC (polyvinyl chloride) plastic — a flexible yet durable thermoplastic used for credit cards and gift cards.

    • Dimensions: Standard size of 3.375 in × 2.125 in (85.6 mm × 54 mm), following ISO/IEC 7810 ID-1 format.

    • Condition: Expired, used, or inactive Metrocards work perfectly. Scuffs and scratches add character — each tells a story.

  • It takes a 1-2 days to make your order before shipping it out via USPS or UPS
